WELCOME 2026 SUMMER LAW CLERKS: ALMIRUDIS & TAYLOR

Fisher, Patterson, Sayler & Smith is pleased to announce their 2026 Summer Law Clerks, Maria Almirudis & Ryan Taylor. We look forward to an exciting summer of learning & growth together!

 

Maria Almirudis is a rising 3L at the University of Kansas School of Law. She earned undergraduate degrees in Global Studies and Korean Language from the University of Kansas in 2024 before beginning law school that same year. During law school, Maria has been actively involved in student leadership and has competed in KU Law’s In-House Moot Court Competition. In the summer of 2025, she served as a judicial law clerk for Judge Brooks G. Severson, where she primarily worked on Title VII and constitutional claims. Maria has also worked as a legal extern with the University of Kansas Office of General Counsel and served as a research assistant to Professor Stephen Ware, focusing on mediation and arbitration practices.

 

Ryan Taylor is a rising 3L at the University of Kansas School of Law, where he is a staff articles editor on the Kansas Journal of Law & Public Policy. In addition to that role, he participated in the UCLA Transactional Law Competition this past semester. Ryan previously served as a judicial intern at the Johnson County Courthouse. He has an interest in healthcare law, civil rights law, and business transactions. Prior to law school, Ryan earned his bachelor’s degrees in philosophy and psychology from the University of Kansas along with a master’s degree in legal studies from Florida State University.
